No way to be distracted by a fruitless and hypocritical dialogue, the look should face the misery of the people, as human butchering is gaining ground … even in Kinshasa, the capital …
The national dialogue that was convened by Joseph Kabila against the consent of the majority of Congolese had long struggled in its efforts to be able to acquire credibility.
The Catholic Church no longer had ever wished to be in dirty. But in the name of patience and tolerance that should characterize specifically the jubilee year of the Divine Mercy (as was proclaimed by the Pontiff), the Episcopal Conference of Congo (CENCO) should only have behaved so as to avoid conflict with the gospel it preaches tirelessly to Congolese. The Bishops of Congo had eventually weaken their position by agreeing to participate in the National Dialogue under clearly defined conditions, including among others the strict respect of the Constitution.
At the outset, no other presence in the room of the dialogue had so much consideration in relation to the circle of Kabila as of the CENCO. However, it is obvious that the Fathers of the Catholic Church felt suffocated and choked each in their own ethics, as evolve the foundation that converged further towards satisfying the greed of those who forced it taking place.
Also, the torpor of the September 19 did it intervene at the right time so that « the bird escapes from the snare of the fowler. » Development was expected that the final resolutions of Kabila to the Congolese hoped to swallow at their own peril. And, now the most important certification agent through its unparalleled moral authority withdraws. What a challenge!
Hold! This is by no means on a tender tone CENCO devotes its withdrawal from the dialogue. There is no need to pet a bloody regime. The Church’s mission is to save every man and each man, preserving the truth and justice for peace and true happiness.
