A relative lull tended to rebuild hope back next to ordinary and livable atmosphere. But we soon realized that this is still an illusion.
For the umpteenth time, Saturday, Sept. 17, the cutthroats assailants confirmed in their always tragic barbarism in Kididiwe, a town located only about 10 kilometers northeast of the town of Beni. Having progressed through Vemba and Kipeyayo, two other locations in the same region, the killers broke into Kididiwe to attack the FARDC camp where farmers who sought protection were concentrated.
The results of this surprise attack is:
– 3 dead
– 3 injured
– Many seriously injured soldiers
– 5 burned motorcycles
– At least 45 peasants’ houses on fire and the FARDC camp destroyed.
The attackers were able to seize control of this town for two days (Saturday to Sunday).
It is urgent to note that confusion becomes greater on the battlefield, because the murderers have acquired ease of infiltration, because they have the FARDC’s uniform, which make them out to be Loyalist soldiers throughout their passage. The horror that causes this repeated betrayal is always amazing, as the images of the victims continue to demonstrate.
Moreover, this kind of confusion was the basis for a very serious incident during the same week in Eringeti: MONUSCO by intervening in support of FARDC, failing to distinguish between rebels loyalist soldiers were surprised to see FARDC soldiers collapse under the dropping of the aerial bombing of UN peacekeepers in target yet recognized as home of the deployment of enemies. The Congolese government should justify why this often intentional confusion that caused such great human damage within the national army, as can be assessed in relation to the number of victims that have been counted in Beni.
It is imperative to require the authorities of the country, especially in the army hierarchy, explanation and justification of the fact that the murderers are guaranteed uniform staffing of the Congolese national army more than the FARDC themselves.

« It is thus understood the grave danger of any extension to the power of Joseph Kabila. Congolese worthy of the name must reject any form of transition. Indeed, given what is happening in Kivu- Ituri, any transition beyond December 2016 would allow time and resources to the Congolese government which is, obviously, an accomplice of the Rwandan occupation of Kivu-Ituri in progress « (Father Vincent Machozi, March 19, 2016, speech that earned his murder the next day)
